D2PAK-7L Surface Mount Package: This new surface mount solution accommodates the AOBB040V120X2Q, AOS' groundbreaking 1200 V/40 milli-ohm αSiC MOSFET. The AEC-Q101-qualified D2PAK-7L package seamlessly replaces traditional through-hole options, ideal for applications like on-board chargers (OBCs) where efficient cooling is achieved through vias and backside PCB heatsinks. This approach simplifies assembly and maximizes power density. Additionally, the low inductance design paired with a fast driver source sense connection solidifies AOS αSiC MOSFETs as some of the most efficient power-switching solutions available.
GTPAK Surface Mount Package with Topside Cooling: For designs featuring a topside-mounted heatsink, the GTPAK surface mount package offers a superior thermal solution. The direct heat path from the GTPAK minimizes thermal resistance, enabling higher power dissipation and more effective PCB routing. The AOGT020V120X2, a 1200 V/20 milli-ohm αSiC MOSFET, is the first product offered in the GTPAK, ideal for high-efficiency solar inverter and industrial power supply applications.
AlphaModule High Power Baseplate-Less Module: The AOH010V120AM2 marks the debut product in AOS' new AlphaModule family. This 1200 V/10 milli-ohm half-bridge αSiC module features press-fit pins and an integrated thermistor, housed in a standard footprint. This design allows for the replacement of multiple discrete devices with a compact single module, simplifying both mechanical and electrical design by offering distinct electrical and cooling paths. Single modules are ideal for residential solar inverters, while parallel configurations of multiple modules can be employed for high-power applications like fast DC charging stations.
